The Others

Peaches 'n Cream was a Quarter Horse mare I worked with in the late 70's. She was like working with a very bright, hyperactive child. The more she was challenged, the more she learned. She was sold as a large pony hunter and became quite sucessful on the local show circuit.

Fadsara was a young Arabian mare I worked with in 1983-84. She was sold as a competitive trail horse.

Another Arabian mare. Vision belonged to a friend who graciously let me ride her in the 1986 GMHA 40 mile ride when Salim was injured. She was a wonderful ride. this is one of my all time favorite photographs.

In 1987, when Starry took sick, Steve Rojek offered me the use of the incomparable endurance horse, Annalea Moonbeam for the GMHA 40 mile ride. It was truly a learning experience to compete on a horse that knew his job so well.

Austin Judgment Day. Juddy was one of the most atheletic and most difficult horses I have ever worked with. He was a full brother to Jenny.

The famed Thoroughbred stallion, Portrait Painter at age 2. While I never actually worked with Pete, I was his "god-mother". It was my turn to do the midnight "foal check" the night he was born. We had left the barn at 10:00 with the expectant mare happily munching on hay. At midnight, there was Pete, born, dried off , nursed and happily curled up in the straw.
